Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Scholarship 2020

“Chinese Government Scholarship” is a full scholarship program, which is funded by the central government of China. All undergraduate and postgraduate programs provided by Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (LNUTCM) are covered within this kind of scholarship and available to apply for international students. According to the current regulations, the admission information and requirements of LNUTCM’s Chinese Government Scholarship program are as follows.
Chinese Government Scholarship programs sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to undertake degree studies (bachelor, master or PhD) or academic research in China.
Chinese Government Scholarship covers both major study and Chinese language (preparatory) study. The table below illustrates the duration of each program.

Language of Instruction
Chinese is the only instruction language at LNUTCM. Scholarship recipients of undergraduate programs must take one-year preparatory courses in designated universities and pass the required test before major studies.
Scholarship recipients of Chinese-taught programs without adequate Chinese proficiency must take Chinese language training courses for one to two years to reach the language requirements of LNUTCM. Failure to reach the required language proficiency will lead to the automatic termination of scholarship. The maximum duration of Chinese courses is no more than two years.
1. Foreign nationality in good health.
2. Compliance with laws and regulationsoftheChineseGovernment, comply with the rules and regulationsoftheUniversity.
3. With the degree approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education(applicant for Master degree program need to provide the Bachelor degree, and age below 35years old; applicant for doctor degree program need to provide a master degree, and age below 40yearsold);
4.Academic excellence, two recommendation letter of the professors;
5. Not accompanied by other types ofscholarshipsprovidedbytheChinesegovernmentorlocal governments in China.
Apply for the Scholarship Program at LUNTCM
All the applicants who want to apply for Chinese Government Scholarship program could contract directly with the International AdmissionsOffice of the university, to ask for application forms, check the requirements, and the admission officer would give the full range of answers to the international students. The admission deadline for next intake is 31 March 2020.
1.       Documents (All the materials should be in English or Chinese)
The applicants should submit the following application materials:
1)        Two copy of the “Chinese GovernmentScholarship” application form, which could be filled and downloaded from China Scholarship Council’s official website(
2)        4 Pictures (Passport Pic. size)
3)        Highest degree and academic report which is notarized; If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also submit good Standing Letter by the college or the certificate of employment issued by the company; all materials must be attached with notarized corresponding Chinese or English translations;
4)        Study Plan and Research Schedule (Not less than 1000 words)
5)        Two letter of recommendation from two professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English);
2.       Admission Processes
1)      Application is accepted
Applicants submit an online application via CSC’s website. The university will check the applicant’s qualification in accordance with the university admission criteria. Qualified applicants will be invited to send in their application documents. Those applicants who do not comply with the relevant provisions of the scholarship student’s requirements or provide uncompleted application materials are regarded as invalid.
2)      Accreditation
A scholarship review committee will be set up by the university in order to assess the applicants’ qualifications according to the applicant’s submitted documents. In accordance with the university admission criteria and qualifications, a pre-admission list shall be reported to CSC.
3)      Approval and Notification
The final decision of admitted applicants will be sent back to the university from CSC before June 15, 2020.The University is responsible to issue the admission letters and visa application form (JW 201)to the qualified applicants, and assist them to apply their entry visas to China. Scholarship students should be admitted to valid ordinary passports, visa application form(JW201 form), Admission LetterandPhysical ExaminationRecordto the Chinese Embassy to apply for the student visa (X1 visa).If the student is unable to register in time without the universities’approval, her/his study place will be automatically canceled.
4)      Scholarship students should not change the major, or extend the learning duration.
Scholarship Coverage
● A fee waiver of registration, tuition, laboratory experiments and internship.
Cost of experiments or internships beyond the program curricular is at student’s own expense.
Cost of books or learning materials other than required basic textbooks is at student’s own expense.
● Free on-campus dormitory accommodation.
● A living allowance at the following rates (per month),
undergraduates: CNY 2,500;
master’s students & general scholars: CNY 3,000;
doctoral students & senior scholars: CNY 3,500.
Scholarship recipients registering before the 15th of the registration month (the 15th included) will be granted the full living allowance of that month. Recipients registering after the 15th of the registration month will be granted half of the living allowance of that month.
● Outpatient medical service and Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students in China.
