The Ecole Normale Supérieure in Rennes is a public scientific, cultural, and professional institution whose mission is to train the senior scientific staff of the public service. • Course Level: A scholarship is available to pursue PhD programs.
• Sujet d'étude: Call for proposals for thesis subjects—all fields in correlation with departments teaching and research at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Rennes.
• Bourse d'études : The scholarship is awarded for a time period of up to 4 years, maximum, in the amount of 1200 euros per month. Jointly supervised PhD projects are given priority. In this case, the scholarship is awarded only for the time spent in France.
• Nationalité: Ces bourses sont disponibles pour les citoyens chinois.
• Nombre de bourses : The Écoles Normales Supérieures (ENS) Group has signed a cooperation agreement with the China Scholarship Council (CSC), providing funding for 30 PhD students for the whole ENS group (Paris, Paris-Saclay, Lyon, Rennes), on the basis of a selection by the ENS and by the CSC.

Exigences d'entrée: Les candidats doivent répondre aux critères suivants :

• The scholarship is awarded for a time period of up to 4 years, for a maximum of 1200 euros per month. Jointly supervised PhD projects are given priority. In this case, the scholarship is awarded only for the time spent in France.
• Les candidats doivent être de nationalité chinoise et vivre en Chine au moment de la candidature.
• Les candidats retenus s'engagent à retourner en Chine à la fin du doctorat après la soutenance de thèse ou après une période postdoctorale à l'étranger (avec l'autorisation du CSC).
• Candidates must fulfill all admission and selection requirements put forth by ENS Rennes; they must prove to have a very good level in English and, for certain domains in human sciences, a very good level in French (B2 or C1 level).

• The PhDsupervisor’s biography, signed,
• A description of the thesis project, signed by the PhD supervisor,
• UNEn acceptance letter signed by the PhD supervisor includes a brief overview of the thesis proposal and its implementation context. The doctoral program director and the head of the host laboratory should also sign this letter.
