What Is the Tsinghua International Summer School on Environment?

The Tsinghua International Summer School – Environment 2026 is a 15-day fully funded academic program hosted by the School of Environment (SOE) at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. The program runs from July 3 to July 17, 2026 and is organized around the theme of Carbon Neutrality & Environmental Protection.

Summer schools are central to SOE’s mission of promoting cross-cultural dialogue and connecting global students with China’s environmental science community. Each edition brings together talented students from around the world for two intensive weeks of coursework, lab visits, cultural immersion, and peer networking — at no cost to participants.

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or master’s student at an accredited university

  • Able to attend in person in Beijing for the full 15 days (July 3–17, 2026)
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in environmental protection and sustainability

Note: An environmental background is preferred, but students from adjacent disciplines with demonstrated interest may also be considered.
